ISPE statement on Novel Coronavirus (COVID19 or 2019-nCoV) and the Mid-Year Meeting, Orlando, FL

The ISPE 2020 Mid-Year Meeting will take place as planned on April 18-21, 2020.

We are following CDC and WHO travel advisories, neither of which at this time express concern regarding travel to or from the US, or recommend cancelling meetings:

https://www.who.int/ith/2019-nCoV_advice_for_international_traffic-rev/en/

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html

We are watching closely for new developments and will endeavor to keep the ISPE community appraised of any change in strategy as they relate to the Mid-Year Meeting as soon as possible. This page will keep you posted on new information, as well as our approach to keep our attendees healthy and safe.

ISPE will endeavor to provide a safe and healthy environment for all attendees. We are working with the Loews Royal Pacific to implement infection control measures on-site, including increased availability of hand sanitizing stations, increased cleaning and disinfection of high-volume touchpoints (catering areas, surfaces, handrails, restrooms, entrances/exits, touch-screens, etc.), and, in the final days leading up to the meeting, an awareness campaign to meeting attendees of our mitigation actions via online and onsite information and signage.

We strongly urge exhibitors and attendees to implement appropriate guidelines and protocols as suggested by the CDC and WHO and other health authorities.

Please continue to check this page in the coming weeks for further information.
