If you can believe it, the SIG is two years old which means it is Election time!

The elected position of Vice Chair is now open. As the SIG is intended to represent International RWE, the roles of Chair and Vice-Chair are intended to represent different regions, for example Donna (Americas) and Montse (Europe/Africa). Therefore, the candidate for this election would be highly encouraged to be from the following regions: Americas or Asia.
Please submit your nominations to Donna Rivera and Montse Soriano Gabarro.
The call for nominations is going to be announced at the SIG Meetings on May 24th and July 19th as well as through two emails.
The leadership has decided to host the election via a virtual meeting prior to ICPE to provide an inclusive process. The election is tentatively scheduled for August 19th

Publications and Education
Submit your ideas for webinars and manuscripts! The ISPE RWE SIG Publications and Education working group has created the attached templates for manuscript as well as educational activity proposals. Please reach out to Mehmet Burcu (Mehmet.burcu@merck.com) and Marie Bradley (marie.bradley@fda.hhs.gov) with any questions.
Collaborations with SISPE
In collaboration with SISPE, there was an excellent career panel this week moderated by Liz Mansi. Thanks to Patrice, Cindy, Shirley, and Wei for representing the RWE Collaborative SIG and sharing their perspectives. Thanks to Lisa and Cathy Anne for organizing.
RWE Research Proposal Competition
• Announce competition at mid-year meeting, April 14-16th
• Students submit their teams by May 15th
• Proposals due June 15th
• Distribute proposals to reviewers by June 20th
• Reviewers' scores due by July 20th
• Notify winners August 1st and provide all competitors with their feedback
• Announce 1st place and runner up teams publicly at ICPE Aug 24-28th
