Bio

Julie C. Lauffenburger, PharmD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Epidemiologist in the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her work mainly focuses on cardiometabolic diseases where she has expertise in observational study designs, predictive analytics and pragmatic randomized trials to answer clinically-important questions related to medication use and adherence. She is currently a Principal Investigator of several projects from the National Institutes of Health and has also led work funded by the National Institute for Health Care Management. Dr. Lauffenburger is also the Assistant Director of the Center for Healthcare Delivery Sciences and a practicing pharmacist at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. At the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology.
