Dear ISPE colleagues,
As announced by ISPE President Dr. Almut Winterstein on December 20th, 2019, a new ISPE RWE Task Force has been established. We are honored to be the co-chairs of this important Task Force. Eleven subgroups of the Task Force have been formed and leads/co-leads for each appointed. A kick-off meeting of subgroup leaders was held on January 23rd, 2020.
ISPE members who are interested in serving on a subgroup are now invited to express their interest in being considered here:https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/5407845/ISPE-RWE-TF-subgroups. Please register your interest no later than February 7th, 2020. Due to the high levels of interest in serving on the RWE Task Force, we regret we cannot guarantee your appointment. The subgroup leaders will contact volunteers directly after the submission deadline to let you know if your application was successful.
The mission of the ISPE RWE Task Force is to promote scientific methods and standards, education, and policies related to the development, implementation, and interpretation of Real-World Evidence from Real-World Data studying the utilization, effectiveness, and safety of medical interventions in human populations. The Task Force will 1) coordinate and consolidate the 30+ years of rich expertise in the science of pharmacoepidemiology research with regards to RWE coming from ISPE members in academia, government, service providers and biopharmaceutical industries from over 50 countries; and 2) build collaborations with other societies, agencies, academic institutions, and patient advocacy groups with regards to RWE.
We plan to provide regular updates of this Task Force to ISPE members. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any suggestions or comments.
