Dear RWE Collaborative SIG members,
As announced during our last RWE Collaborative All Members meeting 14th May 2024, we are excited to make the following announcements:
- Call for volunteers to apply for the RWE Collaborative SIG Vice-Chair's role
As you may recall, we are now following a 1-year term election timeline to facilitate agile rotation of roles and enhance engagement and development of SIG members. As such, I will be leaving the RWE Collaborative Chair role at the end August 2025 and move to the Immediate Past Chair role, currently held by one of our SIG founders and SIG champion Donna Rivera. Hu Li, current SIG Vice Chair will then become our new SIG Chair with the Vice Chair role becoming open for election.
The RWE Collaborative SIG has a strong geographic remit and ideally the roles of Chair and Vice-Chair would be led by peers living in different regions (North America, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa). With Hu Li becoming our new Chair (based in North America) applications from other regions are encouraged for the Vice Chair position. Additionally, candidates from North America are also welcome to apply.
Following the announcement at the 14th of May SIG All Members meeting, this email communication and a parallel announcement via EXCHANGE platform, we would like to invite you to apply to the RWE Collaborative Vice Chair role by contacting Hu Li (huli1104@gmail.com) and/or myself (msorianogabarro@gmail.com) submitting your nomination. Feel free to also reach out to us if you would like to learn more about the role.

Once a list of nominations is established, candidates will be invited to introduce themselves to all SIG Members during a SIG call during the week of July 21st (an invitation will be sent out separately). This will be followed by a virtual election via e-survey. The results of the election will be announced at the end of August 2025.

Additionally, the SIG leadership is also composed by the following roles: Communications Lead, Publications and Education Working Group Lead and Co Lead and Innovative Topics Working Group Lead and Co Lead. The team for 2024-2025 has kindly agreed to remain in their roles for a second term, as outlined below.

- Additional Announcements
Through this communication we area also pleased to share with you the following updates:
- As the ISPE Annual Meeting in Washington DC approaches, we are organizing several SIG-related activities. These may include a SIG meeting, project updates, and potential social gatherings. Additional details will be shared as they are finalized-stay tuned for opportunities to engage.
- A Google Form survey will be soon circulated to collect ISPE Annual Meeting attendee information and other details. We kindly ask that you complete the form once it becomes available.
